Bounty Project: Open-source Bitcoin Businesses Map

Hey /Bitcoin!
We're at the Bitcoin Embassy TLV organizing a bounty project for an open-source bitcoin businesses map. Initially the project will be aimed at the Israeli community with a dual-language interface, Hebrew and English, but my aim is that can be easily translated to additional languages.
Right now the bounty stands at 2.5 BTC, and my goal is to reach a minimum of 10 BTC and eventually reach around 15 BTC to fund the full development.
It's in early stage, but you guys can check out the doc that describes the project and provides more details about the entire thing.
Here it is: https://docs.google.com/document/d/110VTXsRfNazr2heFzo6N5ToR9BNSKSt-M7heLoAfYSQ - comments and suggestions are very appreciated :)
If you'd like to participate in the project in any way or form, please let me know! I'll be looking for a developer that can take this project very soon, so if you are one or know one that would like to do this project (fully paid obviously), this would be a great time to mention it :)
I can be contacted here on reddit or via any other medium described at the end of the document.
Edit: To avoid confusion - We know that there are similar projects already in existence, but those we are aware of do not provide us with the features we need, hence the new project.

I have opensourced my very simple Bitcoin business map app. Anybody out there want to contribute ?

I just put it together in the space of a few hours using some bits I had already written but I don't have the time to improve or maintain it. Any help making it better and I'd be happy to share some of the income if it does make any.
The download link is here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ragmondo
and the github is here:
https://github.com/ragmondo/bitcoinbiz
Any takers ?? There is a lot of space for improvement and new stuff that the community want. Get in touch and I'll show you some of the requests.

There is an army of developers waiting for your suggestions to my bitcoin business map app. What do you want see in it ?

This is a follow up to a few posts regarding an Android app I put together that displays a simple map and on it the physical real-world merchants that accept bitcoin.
You can see the app here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ragmondo
Anyway, as I don't really have a lot of time myself to put into it, I've now open sourced the app here : https://github.com/ragmondo/bitcoinbiz
And I put a small post in /androiddev to ask for help : http://www.reddit.com/androiddev/comments/1amw0a/i_have_opensourced_my_very_simple_bitcoin/
Anyway ... it looks as if there are a few people willing to help so let's start some brain storming and figure out what you want to see in it.
Let's not rehash the apps out there though - I don't think we need another balance checker or current mtgox spot rate app (ok maybe just a current price under a menu somewhere) but stuff to do with how you can get and spend your bitcoins in the real world .... eg being able to add a business directly from the app with pics etc, geo-alerting if you just happen to be near a business that takes bitcoins...
So bitcoin androiders... what do you want ? I'll put that on the task list to see if we can get this built !!

Is there a more up-to-date map of physical businesses that accept bitcoin than coinmap.org?

Hi all,
I remember when coinmap.org was first being populated in 2013, it was a great resource, but now the locations on it are either non-existent or no longer accepting bitcoin. Is there a more up-to-date resource of physical businesses that accept bitcoin directly via a lightning network transaction or a regular bitcoin transaction? I know fold app is great, but it's not a native bitcoin transaction or experience.
Also, given that businesses are currently shut down due to the pandemic, I figure having a resource like this functional and properly populated might be a good thing for adoption when the economy is back to its normal life.
Finally, I hope everyone is fairing well during these times. I know I shouldn't even be concerned about something like this, but I figure bitcoin will be an important part of the economy in the future so it deserve some attention too :).

Could we put Bitcoin Cash on the map? I was messing around with google maps, and it’s easy enough to add businesses and locations. It’d be great if we had a community map of businesses accepting bch. I know I’d support other businesses. Anyone with know how interested?

Followup "Do you want an Android App that displays bitcoin businesses on a maps app... "

Here are a few screen shots to jog the memory : http://imgur.com/MywWVS2 http://imgur.com/s1F600J
Ok - so I've written the app, it's uploaded to the google play store but it does take a little while to appear. It is called simply "Bitcoin Businesses" and has a logo of 2x orange "B" with teeny tiny letters after them.
It should be available here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ragmondo ... but at the moment it's still "processing" (ie probably checking for malware etc etc). I will edit this post when it becomes live with an updated URL if that isn't correct.
For those that CAN'T WAIT. I have uploaded a version here : http://www.droidbin.com/p17kf89lfe1rkoi3e1v321rec10ho3
The app is now live on the google play store here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ragmondo Please install this one if you used the droidbin apk so you will be informed of updates etc.
but you'll need to be able to install apks yourself... It's ok if you don't trust these sites - just wait until the play store link becomes live.
HERE ARE THE CAVEATS.
1) It's only (currently) for 3.2 and above. I'll work on 2.2+ shortly but I wanted to get a version "out there" asap. If you try on an earlier android version it will crash. That I can guarantee you (I tried already).
2) The data is sourced from the directory of bitcoin stores and needs help. If you know of any places, then please let me know in this forum or just upload them directly to : http://bcfxer.appspot.com/submissions/newbusiness and I'll approve them straight away.
3) There is no about / help / privacy or anything like that yet. Just to let you know, I am using anonymised google analytics to see where people are using it, but I will put that in the privacy statement when I get around to doing one.
END OF CAVEATS.
I am more than happy for other people to use the business location data I am collecting in their apps with only a few minor restrictions - and that is namely that I will soon be adding "rate this place" links which I would need keeping in.
Lastly, the more you guys talk to me with feedback (both positive and constructive negative), the more effort I'll put into the app.

I have open sourced my android app "Bitcoin Businesses" - a simple map app to display businesses that accept bitcoins.

It's at github here : https://github.com/ragmondo/bitcoinbiz and the currently released version you can see here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ragmondo
It uses data sourced from a webpage here : http://www.getbitcoin.info/map
It needs some love. I haven't backported it to anything < 3.2 right now (including the action bar, about pages etc etc). It also doesn't the "short snippet" field from the data source... Should get around to that one day.
Anybody willing to help ? If you are, then I am more than happy to split any income from donations, adverts (if we put them in) etc etc. The long term plan is to monetize the listings on the web side while allowing free access to the data.
